How the Panel Watches the Lights
Fault detection per circuit. Each navigation light channel is monitored on its own, so the panel reports which lamp has failed rather than simply showing that something is wrong. The green indicator goes out and the buzzer starts, giving the watchkeeper a circuit number to work from.
Two alarm layers. A high water level condition is signalled on the red indicators, while a lamp failure is signalled on the green indicators plus the buzzer, so the two event types are never confused.
